Okay, friends, this one is a personal project and I LOVE how it turned out!
Walnut Hill Homestead is the name we lovingly gave to our four + acre property we bought a year and a half ago. With walnut trees lining the back of the property and a big hill from top to bottom, it’s the name that stuck.
And with a name, must come branding. Especially when you have big aspirations for your little plot of land. We moved in with some apple and pear trees and a one acre wildflower field on the property, but since then we’ve added large gardens, laying hens, meat birds and multiple other fruit trees. We built a pergola pavilion in the orchard and a woodshop in the building last year also.
And we’re not stopping there! We have BIG dreams for our land – from a gorgeous greenhouse to fenced in gardens and a farm stand near the road, we wanted branding to tell our story and match our vibe.
My husband was constantly asking me if I had been working on it, it became a joke on Instagram with him designing he own (terrible) logos and our kiddos drawing out logos as well. I got the hint. 😂
So for Christmas of 2022, I told him to check his email and open up his brand concept presentation. To say he loved it was an understatement (there may have been tears but I’ll never tell).
We’ve already made stamps for our cute egg cartons and sweatshirts to wear out and about, but we have so many more plans for this branding, and I love having a starting point to add to when we expand into other adventures as well.
From representing our woodshop, chickens, orchard, gardens, old truck and pups, I feel like this is a great start and can help us accomplish all we want to do with these 4 acres we were blessed with!
What merch should we create? Share in the comments – I’d love to hear what you think.
Definitely farm stand (or farmer’s market) bags!!
