Recent Work: Help From Here

Feb 20, 2019

Friends, I can’t express how important it is to find your ideal customers. For me, all it took was finding one person who was my ideal client – a driven, vintage loving, natural and minimalist design inspired woman who ended up becoming one of my best friends. Cough cough – I’m looking at you, Emma Hicks!

Emma is the type of person who lives for bringing people together and building community. I’ve met so many of my ideal clients through the events she throws. First, it was meeting like-minded vintage lovers through Iowa Gathering and then it was meeting driven, women-owned businesses through Camp Climb. These women are my ideal clients and since I met Emma who brought all of them together, I’ve had to very little marketing to get clients. Now they seek ME out and that changes everything.

One of those clients was Angie, who is a VA that I had the pleasure of working with at Camp Climb last August. I did a 15-minute brand audit with her and looked at her website to give her some tips. I was so excited when she reached out after camp about a new logo.

Her vision was SO much fun and much brighter than logos I had worked on previously. He mood board lit my heart on fire.

And when she wanted some cute little hand-drawn elements in her logo, I was in love. This was the first time I tried my hand at using my own sketches in a logo design, and though we didn’t use the ones I did, it gave me the confidence to try them in other logos I work on.

To say I’m obsessed is an understatement – the colors, fonts and pattern are so much fun. I can tell this is going to be a favorite of mine for a long time.

And if you’re in the market for a Virtual Assistant, go check out Angie and Help from Here!
